Oade Recording (FOB Schoeps CMC 441> Oade M118 > Sony TC D5)>DATs > CDR > WAV > SHN
Very clean transfer. This recording arrived on CDR already mastered to take full adavantage of the CD dynamic range, seamless, and expertly tracked. Originally tracked on 3 discs with set 1 on a single disc and the second set split between space and truckin'. Either way it was seamless so you can burn three discs if you prefer. End of Brokedown is brokedown at 05:03 with the remainder of the song provided by a multianalog generation SBD recording from the show.

Subject: Slow show at the time
However the atmosphere at the show was anything but energetic since Steve Parrish's wife and kids had died in a car wreck after the show the night before.
After the show the night before with Phil sporting a new mic introducing his return to singing on a regular basis, and 2 new breakouts I thought this show was pretty slow and the tragedy of the previous evening hung thick in the air.
So my review is of the show not the recording. I recommend listening to 12/28/84 if you want to hear the best show from this run.
plus a fine let it grow spanish / earth bean coffee sequence
Subject: Oade Crispness
Let it Grow and the Samson->Terrapin->Playin' sequence all stood out as having a little something special on first listen. Very lively and energetic for '84.
Maybe it's just the Oade factor.
